As audience members and interested individuals, you probably know that Theatre IV’s core belief is that theatre arts can make a difference in people’s lives - especially children. You probably didn’t know that Theatre IV is currently the largest school-based professional theatre in the country, reaching over 2 million students in 34 states. We take particular pride in bringing you local performances at the downtown Empire Theatre and the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen and providing your family with the quality entertainment you want to see. To expand our educational programming and innovative outreach programs we need your help.

By making a donation you will support the following programs:

Tickets for Kids
Through this program, Theatre IV will give away approximately 5,000 tickets to underprivileged children throughout the year.

A National Touring Program
Our educational touring productions travel to over 34 states throughout the country and reach over 2 million children and educators annually.
Innovative Outreach Programming.

For the past 20 years, Theatre IV has toured our sexual abuse prevention play Hugs & Kisses and has reached over one million children. This production tours every year and has been a proven intervention tool for over 8,200.

An Award-winning Main Stage Season
Theatre IV has won countless awards for our main stage productions including Family Style’s First Place award for family favorites. Our performances at Barksdale Theatre are most appreciated by younger children ages 3 - 7, while our stellar season at the Historic Empire Theatre is most appreciated by children ages 6 -13.
